Even though you are a unique individual, unlike any other, you came from somewhere. You had a Mom and Dad. So did they, and and so did each of them, and so on. And while you MAY know some of the details, the further back you go, the more the story gets “curiouser and curiouser"...just as Alice discovered during her adventure through Wonderland.

I thought my family was “normal”...a simple, cut-and-dried account of average human growing up in an average family. There were tales of Native American ancestry that made me curious...and talk of mystery surrounding my Dad's Dad...but that was it. That was, until I started digging for the truth. That's where I began uncovering unexpected family twists, hidden history and surprising dead ends.
A thickening plot and intense curiosity drew me into this real-life mystery more than ANY novel ever could.

It's nice to think that everything that makes you YOU is solely from your own choices and experiences, but I think we BOTH know the rabbit hole goes MUCH deeper. And if it IS true that we are a composite of those from our past (it is), then who in the world ARE those people?

Over the past 20 years of this compelling journey of family discovery, I not only uncovered curious stories of my family, but the adventure revealed something else...the POWER of (and my love of) research!
